Dunny's Bbq - Fall River

The place is full of authentic bits and pieces of Fall River history…little known fact most of the woodwork is from old schools throughout the city that were torn down. The attention to detail carries over into everything they do. It is the perfect ambience to enjoy truly unique bbq and other smoked delicious foods from their one of a kind smoker i have seen the wood stash for it….alot of thought and hard work went into selecting the perfect wood to enhance the flavor of everything they cook. My favorite thing I have ever eaten here was the smoked turkey for thanksgiving. A whole bird smoked to perfection! Try this place! You will love it…the Donovan Family is passionate about our community and preserving its story and history all while delivering a a memorable experience. Also, great spot to host an event.

I really wanted to like this place. Sadly I was a victim of false advertisement. Burnt ends, are the slices of the end of a beautifully and wonderfully smoked Brisket. It is sought after and special. So I saw it on the menu and ordered 2. Shockingly I got nervy, tough, tiny beef bits drowning in what tasted like Baked bean juice and bottled BBQ sauce. It looked like dog food from a can(see gravy train)and tasted like a child made it. Potato Salad was like mashed potatoes with mustard. I was so aggravated I left it in the fridge considering bringing it back. Perhaps they can do better, but I personally will not give them another go.

My boyfriend and I went to Dunny’s BBQ for dinner. This restaurant was adorned with a unique saloon theme, complete with vintage Western decorations that added to the authentic and charming atmosphere. We had the Texas Twinkies and beef chili to start. I had the Dunny’s favorite Ruben with fries and my bf had cheeseburger. The restaurant was busy and there was only one waitress, Jenny, on duty. Regardless, she still did an amazing job at juggling all the customers and making sure we still had exceptional service. We're already planning our next visit. The brisket and a Chai old-fashioned which I overheard a patron at the bar order are next on our list to try. The exceptional service, delightfully unique ambiance, and delicious food make this a must-visit restaurant. We're definitely looking forward to our next visit. 4 stars for now, but will update once we get a chance to try the actual BBQ and the house sauce.
