The Local - Fairbanks

I was told I could order from the table. was handed over 5 times by the server that was emptied at a point by tabs that had people (not empty tabs and his was 10m as writing). to save is the mice person who worked on the bar that a daring good long island. server noticed me at this point to tell me that I ordered on the wrong side of the bar. thank you for finally recognizing my existence.

Waitress was great. Food was OK, bar service was rough and mixed drinks were garbage. Old fashioned tasted like toilet water.

It was busy so I’m try to not be to judgemental. Took 30 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me. people who arrived after me were getting menus and placing orders before I was even acknowledged. Had to go up to the bar to get a menu. People were waiting at bar with menus to order food. Yes they had a waitress. Seemed to be a 3 person staff for maybe 20 tables. 1 cook, 1 bartender, 1 waitress. Food was average. Not bad, but also nothing to rave about. Ordered a side tots and a bottled beer. Was $13.68 Tots were on the menu for $4.99, so beer must have been at least $8. Wish I would have known this beforehand. Waitress and bartender were nice, didn’t seem to stressed despite it being busy. If it’s busy wait till anchorage to get food. If it’s slow check it out, but maybe ask for a beer/wine menu when ordering drinks.

Abysmal. Waited for 25 minutes at our table, no waitress came. We let one know we’d been waiting, they said someone would be over, no one came for another 25 minutes. Went up to the bar, waited in line for 10 minutes to order before learning they were out of all wine except for one that was $23/glass and no oven foods–pretzels, pizzas, etc. Apathetic staff, terrible service, don’t waste your time at FAI–eat before you come. 0/5 stars if possible.

I got to the airport at 1030 for a glass of wine before my flight. The bar normally closes at 12 but tonight the bartender refused to serve me. Closing early. Must be nice to just make up your own hours.
