Bidra med feedbackOne of the best meals I've ever had in my life and the service was incredible. We had dinner and lunch here in October and the venue is beyond beautiful, the food 5 star and the dinner staff was amazing.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old section of town. The hotel is built into a variety of the old buildings so there are various levels and a lot of stairs (stone and metal) to get to various sections of the hotel and the various rooms. The views are great from the bar and restaurants on terraces. Views are also great from the rooms facing the sea well worth getting one of those. There is very easy access to the rest of the old town, including the Jardin Exotique at the top. During the day the crowds of cruise ship and other tourists pour into the town and clog the small roads, but you basically have the town to yourself earlier in the morning and in the evening when staying at the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly (with the notable exception of one who was very condescending) and a pleasure to be with. The restaurants are very good, though I would recommend the Cafe du Jardin over Les Remparts the views are just as good, the food is just as good, the prices are more reasonable, and they have excellent wood fired pizza should you not want the normal menu items. The heated pool lounge area has nice views as well; the only real drawback is that the pool itself is rather old and surrounded by a metal fence. The views are a bit lost when in the pool and the loungers aren’t by the pool. An infinity pool here would be absolutely awesome, if they could ever put one in.
At the Hotel Château de La Chèvre d'Or, every meal becomes a lyrical experience. The staff is like an ensemble of artists who perform the culinary opera with precision and elegance, calm and luxury, where you feel enchanted and inspired. Chef pâtissier Florent Margaillan's creations are like a poem for the senses. His pastries are not only culinary masterpieces, but also an ode to the passion and dedication that goes into each and every creation. He weaves traditional French desserts with a touch of magic and innovation, creating something far beyond the ordinary. His creations tell stories of the past and the future and they take the palate on a journey full of surprises. A visit to this gastronomic paradise is like a journey into the world of sensory delights that you want to experience again and again. Bravo, Florent Margaillan, for your poetic mastery of pâtisserie!
Visited this restaurant as part of a group dining experience whilst staying in Monaco. The restaurant is set on the side of a hill a quite a walk up from the nearest parking area ladies wear sensible shoes! The views when you reach the restaurant are incredible and it’s a wonderful photo spot. The food is slightly more difficult to judge as I felt it possibly wasn’t a true experience as we were a large group arriving on mass eating at the same time which is unusual in such restaurants. As a result the food whilst good, did not feel two stars and was not very memorable. All presented very nicely but nothing stand out. The staff were very friendly and service was good.
This was a superb lunch experience from beginning to end in every respect. On arrival our car was taken from us parking is a nightmare locally but not if you are staying/dining at the hotel. The walk through the grounds and up the restaurant is lovely. We were slightly early but were welcomed and shown to our window table with “that” view. It is quite something. We had pre chosen the long tasting menu which looked interesting. Mrs had a glass of Krug (she has no idea what it costs! and I had a local rose to start with. The sommelier came to see us and I asked if there was a wine pairing offering for the long menu. He offered a ‘premium’ or local offering. We took the local wines why not?! Every single wine was superb and they even gave us a blind tasting in a black glass so you couldn’t see what was in it. I won’t spoil the outcome but it made us laugh a fun thing to do. Every course was devine. Every single member of staff (and there are a lot of them! was delightful all smiling, chatty and they all made our ‘experience’ one to remember. We were there for 3 thoroughly enjoyable hours. The bill was reassuringly steep but I thought it was decent value for the quality of everything. Loos fab! There are some poor reviews on here I have no idea what these people are talking about I’d say just go! Take your time and enjoy it all.
