The Suburban - EXCELSIOR

The delicious burgers at this sports-themed restaurant have earned two thumbs up! Even the kids love them.

We’ve enjoyed The Suburban for years; however, we went there a couple weeks ago and our server was very inattentive, taking over 15 minutes to even greet us with no sense of urgency to bring our drinks, take our food order, write the order down so it was accurate (it wasn’t), or ask if we wanted another drink. The only thing he was prompt on was bringing the bill. I wasn’t going to leave a tip, but decided to leave $14, which was a little over 10%. When my credit card transaction cleared, low and behold, he had helped himself to a $26 tip. I talked to the owner who was very apologetic and offered to refund the difference to me in cash, which he said he would personally deliver along with a gift card for the inconvenience. That didn’t happen. I reached out again and asked him to put the difference in the mail or refund my card, which hasn’t been received as of this review. I have disputed the transaction with my credit card company as the server’s actions constitute fraud. Check your transactions!

We love to stop here to eat. They have some specials every night that never disappoint. There burgers are fantastic.

Horrible service!!! Ordered food with bar order. Tables all around us; coming in much later got food before we did. We had to ask twice about our food. Never got an apology. We won’t be back. So disappointing!

Went to see a reggae band but it was a DJ. They did play a little reggae. Enjoy the other music they played too. Heard it was the first time they had live music there. Would be better if we could see the DJs, the lights weren't facing out and blinding us and maybe had a at least one TV on with people dancing to the music.
