Bidra med feedbackMy family and I were in Tango three times. twice for dinner and once for the Mother's Day Brunch. We love it! The food is creative, the portions are good, but small enough to allow more than one course, and the presentation is original and funny. We loved Mother's Day brunch and hope they will also make a Father's Day brunch. The regular prices are fair for the quality of food and presentation, and there are options to try the restaurant at promotion prices. I'm a pesco vegetarian and they have dishes I can eat without asking for changes. Try this restaurant!
Had a wonderful dinner with friends last night at Tango. The amuse bouche was a wonderful little surprise and very tasty. My husband and I tried the souffle tast to start and I was impressed, all three were very flavorful and the plating was beautiful. My friends had the ahi tasting and it was equally pretty. For dinner I had the venison. Pefectly cooked and seasoned, the venison meatloaf is something not to be missed. My husband had the halibut and it as very mild and taty, cooked perfectly and again plated beautifully. Escondido is coming up in the world of fine cuisine.
I hope Tango can attract enough regular customers to be successful in Escondido. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Every bite was a taste delight. We loved everything. I can’t imagine what happened to the one reviewer that had a bad experience at Tango. As good as any restaurant in its price range in San Diego county.
First and last visit, wasn’t worth taking the leftovers home. 40 minutes from time of ordering to getting salads soup. Not sure if it was the kitchen or the server who was responsible. The entree’s were not hot when they arrived at the table, the mashed potatoes were less than room temperature with the fried chicken and beef medalions. The pasta with the Osso Bucco was warm at best, except under the meat where it was warmer but not hot. The only entree to show up hot was the forgotten fried chicken, but it tasted as if it were fried in old oil. The Osso Bucco and beef medalion flavors were ok warm, would have been better I think if the food were hot. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone I consider a friend.
Not unlike my first attempt at romance… something was severely lacking and..almost…unlearned an uncaring..I’m not sure what it was…It’s seemed to be short on common sense and long on hubris..But what ..would … one… expect from a Pan/Asian/Fusion ??? restaurant in the unlikely spot as is Escondido, California? Nevertheless, don’t waste your money here..travel a few miles West to Del Mar and get food. Real food.Or better yet…get Mexican food… when in Rome!
