Bidra med feedbackFood was fantastic! And the waitress was super kind.
Should be called The Seafood Shack then the themed interior and exterior would be better understood. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Menu has broiled as well as fried items for those looking to eat a bit healthier.
My husband's food came to the table cold. I had to go find a manager just to get a refill on our tea. The BBQ was very dry. We were highly disappointed and won't be coming back
Service and food were both sub-par. Prices were a few bucks too high for the quality delivered. The server tried, but was never trained, and allowed to continue poor tableside habits. Armpits from a tank top should never be reached over a diner's plate of food. Ever. And the place looks closed from the outside.
I have to admit, like others I was a little nervous once I saw the outside. But a previous review convinced me to go inside. I was looking for some decent seafood, at fair prices. I was staying down by the waterfront and some of those places down there looked great, but just overpriced, so I went to Google maps and found this place. I have to say it didn 't disappoint! I am from the coast of southern Virginia so I am used to good seafood, and Fridays 1890 didn 't disappoint! For $14.99 I got hushpuppies, two sides and a generous portion of flounder (and I only got the regular size). The finger hush puppies were very tasty and cooked just right. The flounder was lightly breaded and honestly just perfect. All food came out within about 10 to 12 min and was fresh and hot. Also the service was very friendly and inside was very clean and homey.
