Ugly Tuna Tavern - Erie

I have to start by saying this place is a lifesaver. After finishing my meal, I accidentally left my credit card behind. I was on the verge of canceling it due to concerns about fraud, but my amazing server called me and I am so grateful for her honesty. Now, onto the review. The restaurant serves typical bar food and is conveniently located in the Presque Isle area. The service was good with no complaints. I ordered the ranch dusted wings and appreciated the generous amount of seasoning on them. The cheese pizza was decent, not the best I've ever had, but you're not coming here for gourmet food. It was filling and I would recommend this place for some satisfying and easy bar food.

DO NOT ORDER The Ahi tuna from this place or the baked potato. The tuna was so past date it smelled when it came out and was very overcooked to try and hide the fact it was past its time. The only thing good about the whole experience was Amanda our waitress and the crab cakes that were pretty good. However everything else about the whole experience was awful. The only reason they get two stars is because of Amanda otherwise it would be a solid 0.

I always visit this restaurant for dinner during my yearly spring fishing trips. The service staff is always polite, attentive, and professional. The food is delicious - I recommend trying the fillet tip salad, it's my favorite. On weekends, they often have a DJ or Karaoke which can be fun but a bit loud. I'll definitely continue to return.

This is a little late in writing, but I have to rave about the Ahi Tuna Tacos I had last week. I stopped in for a couple beers and a quick lunch in the middle of a day of errands, and DAMN...did I get what I was looking for! I hobbled in and was met with a happy and lively, Hi, Sweetie! and it just got better from there. The owner and staff are all top notch and definitely on top of their game. It 's a little bar but Customers are given the five star treatment as though it was a split level on Rodeo Drive. I 've always loved every bite of food I ever had here, but for some reason, Ahi Tuna Tacos sounded so close to perfect that day. And they were! Delicious! Perfect lunch for my day. And I used to disregard fish tacos as something that didn 't make any sense to me . How wrong I was. I can 't recommend this dish enough or any other item on their menu each one is outstanding!

We came into town and decided to try this place. First off the guy that was there singing was good and very friendly. That was the best thing going for this place. The food was disgusting. We got a fish sandwich that looked terrible and tasted worse than it looked. We also got garlic Parmesan wings... do not recommend these! Tasted old and old grease flavored. We got fries that was the best part of the meal. We will not be back. We also had to go search for the waitress to find our check. With that said they did adjust the bill to pay for the drinks and fries the only part of our meal we actually consumed.
