Bidra med feedbackWe stopped again for lunch. We ordered a potato soup that was out of this world. The we had a calamari steak. The flavor was fabulous but the calamari itself was very chewy to the point my wife cannot finish it.
We arrived after 8 PM and we're greeted with smiles by our server as well as Chef Robert. This was my first visit and had assumed that it would be Indian cuisine with great Curry dishes. Unfortunately not but I certainly was not disappointed in what we ate. In fact the food was excellent. We shared an appetizer of Aguachili Shrimp that I would highly recommend - 4" of goodness. We followed it with Tortilla soup that was very tasty as well.
Great restaurant. Went twice. Friendly staff, live blues that were not too loud for Dinner, and an out of this world concoction called "Camarones Imperiales"; which consists of a pineapple slice topped with giant prawns that have been stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon; than had a pile of creamy dungeness crab dumped on top. Family of 4; Kids 11 and 14
Newly reopened, the India Bonita has become our favorite. The owner prepares his offerings with an artistic style. Service is responsive, watchful and friendly. Excellent English is spoken by all. We have eaten there 8-10 times in the last 2 months and always leave pleased at the quality our dining experience. B'fast, lunch and dinners are served. Decor is native American Indian. If you want a variation on a menu item, Roberto will accommodate, just ask. Prices are reasonable. Wines are above the quality of other peninsula restaurants and are priced at 60 pesos per vaso [glass]. DO make a point to treat yourself to this experience.
Great food and service are great. Taco Tuesday includes fried fish. They go out of their way to make the customers happy. I'm Gluten free and they cooked the Taco Tuesday without breading for me. The weekend buffet has so many choices that a person can't eat everything. Great choice of food, fruits and deserts. It's on the way to the Bufadora and La Jolla Beach Camp
