The Burren Castle - Ennis

This place is fantastic, a must visit! I stayed at this hotel with my family for two nights and we all felt right at home. The staff and owners were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The exterior of the property looks like a castle, especially impressive at night. Inside, it is cozy and inviting, with a spacious reception area featuring a beautiful glass ceiling where you can relax with a morning coffee or a drink after dinner. The restaurant is large with comfortable table seating and the food is delicious with generous portions. I enjoyed an omelet for breakfast, but the Irish breakfast was outstanding. The bar has a great atmosphere with live music, and we enjoyed a drink or two there, of course! The bartender was very welcoming and made drinks to our liking. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-organized, with nice views of the surrounding fields and roads. We left with a sense that we must return in the future.

Upon arrival, I found the exterior of the restaurant to be a bit strange. However, the rooms were spacious and cozy. The decor seemed a bit old-fashioned, but everything was well-maintained and tidy. It seemed like the hotel mainly caters to tour groups. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast, while satisfactory and offering a full Irish spread, lacked creativity. The hotel's location is very convenient for those looking to visit the Cliffs of Moher. I would consider staying here again in the future.

After a long journey from Leeds earlier that morning, we arrived at the restaurant on Sunday at 9 pm. We were welcomed warmly and ushered in for an excellent evening meal. The rooms were spacious and spotless, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was superb. The surroundings were also incredible. If you are looking for top service in a lovely location in picturesque Ireland, then this is the place for you.

A varied menu with good choice. Our stay was for 2 nights and a different menu each night. Portions were exactly right, the apple crumble I had the second night, was just delicious.
