Tamales Especiales - Englewood

While it may seem odd to find a vegetarian cafe in a dive bar setting, don't be fooled - the Mexican food here is top-notch. There is a full vegan menu available, and I highly recommend trying the Bomb Nachos, Dayum Good Quesadilla, and Chile Relleno Tacos. Everything was delicious, but the nachos were particularly outstanding.

I never thought I would find a vegan menu at this restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the chile relleno chimichanga and the green chili cheese fries, and they were both amazing! It's rare to find vegan Mexican food in this area, but this place is a hidden gem!

They offer a variety of vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, tamales, and fries with tasty vegan ranch dressing. The homemade vegan nut cheese was also a hit. Looking forward to trying their vegan and gluten-free quesadillas.

Went today, lovely food and service. I had vegan nachos that were amazing and my sister and mom had a vegetarian quesadilla, and chimichangas. Then we had a amazing vegan dessert. Very flexible and willing to provide vegan options!

It seems a little out of place that this vegetarian caffe can be dipped in a hole-in-the-wall type, but don't let it deter it. it has excellent Mexican cuisine. there is a whole vegan menu to choose from. I ordered the bombe nachos, dayum good quesadilla and chile relleno tacos. Everything was good. I would highly recommend the nachos!
