The quality of food is good and the staff is charming. The restaurant has a pleasant terrace, free from Streetnoice, surrounded by historic buildings. There is a parking lot in the walking distance where you can easily find a place.

A friend recommend this restaurant and we are grateful for the recommendation. We have eaten there twice (adult family). At the time (Sept.19 we sat comfortably outside in a courtyard. Service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the wine was also. Note that parking can be a challenge. In front of the Gutasschank there are 3-4 parking spaces, a small parking lot further down (arrow! Street, the Aral gas station has parking. The separate tasting room has limited hours because it is busy with people who make the wine. Finally, we planned to go to the restaurant, but unfortunately they were (will be closed by February 2020). Bummer.

The food is wonderful here, the wine is great, and the staff is great. Parking is the only problem we have experienced. Martinsthal is a very small village and parking spaces are not available, but the food and drink are definitely worth the effort....Ask about their special carvings. They won't be disappointed.

The address is listed as Eltville, which is technically correct, but it is important to know that this restaurant is actually in Martinsthal. It is popular and you will probably have to reserve a table beforehand we did. There is a good selection of...local wines and an equally good selection of dishes, all at quite reasonable prices. We were in a party of five and the total bill for the evening came to some 115 euros. We all enjoyed what we had lamb, pork tenderloin, minced meat 'casserole ', etc. and the service was both friendly and prompt. We would happily return.
