BBQ is not easy to get right. Living in Texas for 4 years, I grew to appreciate brisket very much. In Alabama for 4 years, pork was king. Oklahoma had it's highlights, but for the most part my 20 years in PA have been a BBQ disappointment. I've found places that were okay, if I have time to drive an hour or more to get there. More often, if I've wanted good smoked meat, I do it myself. Now I have a go to for great BBQ and not to be pigeonholed into one thing Hank seems to be a master chef and his specials are awesome as well. I'll just say Hank is the king! Just what PA was missing!!

We never write reviews but I could not help myself. My wife and I just left Hanks the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING you'd be foolish If you don't stop here if your in the area. We had the fish sandwich AMAZING .... brisket nachos AMAZING....Mac and cheese AMAZING .... collard greens and potatoe salad AMAZING . MY GOD THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND THE HOSPITALITY FROM HANK AND HIS WIFE WAS SUPURB . WE WILL BE BACK SOON. #forevercustomers

The crab cake was surprisingly good. I'm from Maryland and haven't been able to find a decent one in 7 years of living in PA until now. The cornbread is the kind my grandmother made, not jiffy mix. 4 stars because I was caught off guard by the spiciness of the collard greens...there really should be an asterisk on the menu or something to indicate how spicy it is. I couldn't even take a second bite because they were so hot. I also called my order in and still waited 15 minutes once I paid, which normally isn't a huge deal but I was on my lunch break. I would return.

Awesome food and wonderful service.It's a must try restaurant .The fried chicken is off the chain.
