Lily's Mexican - Elgin

Great food! Appropriate price. I'm glad we found this little place. We dined in the restaurant and in the short time we were there they had 20 pick-up orders. Locals know what's going on! I almost don't want to boast about it because I don't want it to be popular. Lol. So happy, good Mexican foods found in my area and good prices. That's it!

Authentic, delicious and generous portions! It's a family lover. We've been here for years, and it's always our goal. They consistently serve delicious meals, we are never disappointed. 10/10

After we noticed a new name over the door of another Mexican restaurant, we decided to give the new owners an attempt. And that was worth it. The decor is about the same without seeing the El Agave, you might think there was no change. The menus are different, with many other options. At three of us we ordered all different items. No alcohol at this time, but they have a full bar. They're putting chips and salsa on the table. The salsa was fresh, but the bowl was a little small. We went through before we finished the chips. We ordered guacamole, which was really excellent. For our meals I had the three taco dinner with two steak and an al pastor. We also had a Tostada dinner and a Burrito dinner. Meals come with beans and rice. Make sure to ask for their hot sauces. Her salsa roja was great, but her tomatillo salsa was exaggerated. Everything was very good. And the service was also quite good and fast. You have a beautiful selection of deserts, including flan and Fried Ice Cream. Unfortunately no room after dinner so much. This is a great place. Kudos to the new owners to make a good restaurant even better.

Everything tastes super fresh and is filling. a great place for some comfort food.

I really love this restaurant! It's very close to my house, and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. I usually order tacos for myself, and my kids also enjoy their tacos, along with a side of rice. I typically get a side of beans (frijoles). I think I’ve eaten there before, and I remember my daughter having the quesadillas, though I ordered her chicken noodle soup, which I wasn't a fan of. I usually get chips and salsa as well, but since it's so convenient, I often choose this place.
