Larkin Cafe - Elgin

Soup is great. Service is great. Seating was spacious for being so pact. I ordered a Barbeque Chicken bacon sandwich and it was great for a hamburger bun. They say gourmet bun on menu. Only flaw I can post about.

Gave the Larkin Cafe a whirl today as an alternative to some other previously visited brunch spots. While it doesn't look like much from the outside, you'd be pleasantly surprised by the interior frost glass overlays, a wood panel drop ceiling, and overall spaciousness are all immediately noticeable. Anyway, the food here was very good, a super generous portion and a quick turnaround from ordering to eating. I gave the burger skillet a whirl and I gotta say it was delicious. I highly recommend it with barbecue sauce instead of ketchup. TL;DR, if you're after a casual, low key dining experience where the staff is friendly and on point as well as very tasty meals at a very reasonable price, you can't go wrong with the Larkin Cafe.

First time trying this place. Pleasantly surprised by delicious food and very friendly staff! Ellen was very fast, friendly, and efficient. Very good food and the decor was so pretty. Even the bathroom had a full vase of flowers and cute decor! We will be back for sure!

The most amazing Crunchy Cinnamon French Toast I've ever eaten! And saw another customer eating a waffle with a huge chocolate sundae on top a must try for my next visit.

First time trying Larkin Cafe today. Food was delicious, coffee cups were kept full and service was perfect. If you were a regular at Kendalls, you will be pleasantly surprized to know Judy works here 3 days a week! Though the prices are a little more expensive than our usual Sunday place, it was a nice change of service and menu options. We will definitely be back!
