Diligencias Restaurant - El Fuerte

The restaurant specialises in shrimp but I chose one of several fish dishes for around 100 pesos. The service was exceptionally friendly, while the food was plentiful and tasty. Atmosphere is casual and location is on the main plaza beside the Palazzo in Hotel La...Choza.

We were only for one night in the hotel la choza. in the evening we visited the hotel restaurant diligencias there was a lot of dishes that typical Mexican food to choose and we loved that very and there was cold. beer and a very good vino tinto, also: this will recommend both the beautiful hotel and the restaurant. ps. they can also sit in the garden as we did, only for refreshments in the middle of the day or some light for brunch :

This is a beautiful place, but is away from the best place in the city, el meson de general. we visited both restaurants for years, and while las diligencias tries hard, it simply did not have the great taste of meson; in...Fact, when we visited there two days ago, eating was even too salty as if the cook was perhaps a smoker and had affected their taste buds.

I ate here three times (dinner twice and breakfast once) and found the service to be excellent and the food well prepared. Air conditioning was a welcome respite.

Weekend visit to El Fuerte and a decent spot to have lunch. Your average Mexican restaurant. Decent service, average prices and decent food but nothing special. I opted for shrimp skewers and wasn't disappointed . Appears to be good spot for families,
