Bidra med feedbackWe ordered a carnitas burrito, a carne asada burrito, and three rolled tacos. You definitely get your money's worth, as the burritos were huge! I loved that they didn’t come with rice or beans. The meats were tender and flavorful, and both burritos were delicious. The rolled tacos were decent but had a bit too much cheese for my taste. They were extra crispy, though I would have liked them more with some shredded lettuce or salsa on the side. We’ll certainly be back the next time we crave a late-night snack! The restaurant was very clean, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available.
I love the food here, it 's always really good. The breakfast burritos and carne asada fries are my go to. However, the service is the most horrible I 've ever experience. Every time I come, I 'm scared to ask for anything because I 'm sure they 'll give me some sort of attitude. At the pay window, I realized I forgot to order a quesadilla for my little brother. I asked her if I could add it to my order and she flat out said, No. She did not give me any kind of explanation or an apology, she simply said no, gave me my receipt and walked away. It is not the first time I 've had a bad experience. Another time, I came with two friends. One of the workers talked about one of my friends in Spanish under the impression that we did not understand. It was so rude and disrespectful. Just because they may not understand, I did, and they basically complained about him. This restaurant has excellent food and a nice interior. It could be so much better if it wasn 't for the horrible service.
Honestly, the reason we keep returning to this place is because of their red sauce. The way they prepare their food with that sauce is simply incredible. The nachos supreme are a favorite of ours, and we can't get enough of them. While some of the staff may not be the friendliest, the delicious food makes it all worthwhile. I also suggest going inside to place your order since you can serve yourself as much salsa as you want at the salsa bar. If you go through the drive-thru and request a certain number of salsas, you'll only receive two, and if you ask for more, you'll still get just two. It's amusing, really!
Update... ordered tacos from the drive-thru and it was even worse than last time. The shrimp taco once again, they took a scoop of sour cream and splashed it in, making a mess. The carne asada taco? Just call it a greasy asada taco. See image. The fish taco? It was so hot that it burned holes in the side. This is just careless service and lack of care in preparing food orders. May wanna avoid this place since they're so careless and sloppy, as I am.
This Cotixan location used to be good. Ever since they moved from the corner to this new spot, there's been a slight decline. Over the past few months though, there's been a big drop. Quality has dramatically decreased while prices have increased. The cooks here either don't care or don't know how to serve good food. Maybe they are lazy. Today, I was served stale carne asada fries that tasted like they were made yesterday and thrown back into the fryer an hour before I got there. Horrible. I was disappointed my past two visits before today (rolled tacos, crunchy beef taco, crunchy chicken taco, breakfast burrito) and this time, I will not be coming back. Pretty sad as this has been my go-to for a long time. Not anymore. I miss Alejandro's now
