Bidra med feedbackThe coffee and bacon roll were delicious, but be cautious with gluten-free options. Unfortunately, after eating the lemon cake, Wendy became very ill two hours later. We typically only buy wrapped and labeled gluten-free food for her, but the cake looked tempting. It was disheartening to see a Celiac person sick, so please exercise caution. This incident spoiled our trip to Barra.
Initially came here to buy the Hebridean Toffee, but the only toffee to buy was in a box just under £12? Too expensive just to taste it and thought there would be different toffees to buy? Whilst there, ordered coffee to sit outside and it was vey relaxing and great view.
Oven chips and frozen fish ,with all the fresh sea food on barra this was disappointing. For the quality of food it should have been cheap as chips .
A must-stop during any trip to Castlebay, Hebridean Toffee offers delicious, fresh treats in beautifully packaged boxes. The café provides good food and friendly service, even though current restrictions only allow for outdoor seating. This actually enhances the experience of enjoying the uniquely special view while savoring the tablet.
One of only 2 places in Castlebay where you could get lunch, tea coffee etc. Seating is all outside, but we were blessed with great weather and the view is stunning. It's actually Tablet they make on site, and you can buy it in a wee tin. Genuinely up there with the best Tablet I've ever had, so a few tins came home, some as gifts. Definitely worth a stop.
