Pinto Bean - Edna

Really great. haven't had good mexican food from Texas in a really long while, great service too

My family and I have been going to Pinto Bean since they opened. Today at 11:30 we went in and asked if they could put 2 tables together for 5 people and 2 high chairs as the only large table was next to the bar. I was told “no”, not they were sorry just “no”. I asked to speak to the manager and then was told she was the one that had told them no. I left 2 messages for owner to call me but haven’t been contacted. This is the first time I have ever written a review. I will not be back.

Good food and friendly people recommend others to go there great bar for drinks and hang out to watch football or whatever

Tucked in off the main drag in Edna, sits a little diamond in the rough. Starters- good warm tortilla chips and great salsa, with a bite. Several times we've been here love it! I forget the name, but it is an enchilada plate that had a huge side order of beef fajita meat. Their beef fajitas were some of the best I ever had! Tender And flavorful. Another secret- their menudo (weekends only) is fantastic, chock full of meat, seasoned just right. I shouldn't, but had to order their homemade four tortillas. Full bar, good margaritas....the only issue preventing 5 stars is the price of beer. Enjoy, it's a hour and a half away from me and I'm ready to head there after this review.

If I could rate a -0 I would. Horrible food. Guacamole taste like surely not fresh. $67.00 take out and get home no margaritas no salsa very little lettuce and tomatoes. Soggy cause I had to drive all the way back in town to get margaritas. Manager Jennifer blames it on new girl! Really why blame on new girl instead take responsibility for it. I 've been in this business for 50 years and I am a manager at a restaurant where I come from and I would take responsibility for my mistakes or even if a customer complained. Gift certificate a comp on their food anything to make a customer happy. Jennifer take responsibility as a manager!!! This place used to be good but it sure has gone down in the last couple years. Use to love your food. Not anymore. I have never wrote a poor review in my life but this one. No longer will ever eat or even recommend Pinto Bean.
