Swiss Chalet - Edmonton

If you love Swiss Chalet chicken, they never disappoint. Service was fast and food was delicious. Ribs were a little dry but still good.

Who can visit Canada (as an ex pat) and NOT visit Swiss Schalet. The menus has expanded drastically but bring me the half chicken dinner any time. Great chicken, great fries and the gravy/dipping sauce can't be ommitted.

Restaurant wasn't that busy. Service was fast. It's good place for quick bite. Classic Chicken restaurant between dinner and fast wood. I didn't have any negative comments for this visit. I will most likely go there again.

We went for supper as my wife picked this place and we had a "coupon". The 1/4 chicken was more like a 1/4 Cornish game hen in size. The fries were cooked poorly and I think I got the bottom of the frier as most were really hard and crunchy and most were shriveled. My wife's Ceasar tasted funny to her and somewhat watered down. I think this was the first time I have not finished a meal in a restaurant. Not sure I ever want to go back with or without a coupon.

We took our daughter and four grandchildren here because it is close to our home and our grandkids are very picky eaters - chicken is one of the few things they will eat at a restaurant. The food was the usual good quality that we expect from Swiss Chalet, and the children thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately, the service was slow which doesn't work well with four hungry kids between the ages of five and eleven. The server was pleasant when she was around, but the restaurant wasn't busy so there really was no excuse for the slow delivery of everything we ordered. Since the kids like the food, we will give it a second chance in the hopes that the service improves next time.
