Bidra med feedbackThis place was really bad except for the gobi manchuri which was amazing (only reason it has 1 star). We ordered hakka noodles and chilli paneer and both tasted like something from a frozen boxed meal. I couldn't believe they charged so much for such poorquality food. I've heard great things about this place so idk if it's the pandemic or inflation, but it definitely did not liveup to the hype. On top of that, they accidentally gave us tofu instead of paneer in our dish (we suspected it) and they didn'teven tell us! They just watched us eat the tofu, and at the end of the meal they asked if everything was ok. We said at thattime that their paneer tasted like tofu, and the guy chuckled and said yes we accidentally swapped you with another person'sdish and he was suprised we didn't say anything. Wow! We asked for a refund which they did honor but that is seriouslyconcerning. What if it was meat? (I'm vegetarian) The dishonesty is unacceptable.
This is our favorite upscale Indian Chinese destination when the fast food service at Mogul Express does not cut it. Our focus remains on their hakka noodles and fried rice smokey, tangy, delicious. Accompaniments we have ordered to go with the carbs chili, sweet and sour, Manchurian and in veg chicken fish are all spectacular as well.
Update (August 2022): I'm really disappointed with the chicken dishes I had today. The chili chicken seemed to have been re-fried, losing its tenderness, which is unacceptable for a $20 dish. Additionally, the noodles were excessively oily. Ming has now joined my list of hit-or-miss Indo-Chinese restaurants in NJ. I'm lowering my rating as a result.
However, be aware that regardless of table size, they automatically add a 20% service charge to your final bill. While this can be considered as a gratuity, I hope you receive excellent service to justify it. I’m deducting one star for this automatic charge and for not allowing customers to decide on their own gratuity.
I was really disappointed with both the quality and quantity of food given the high prices! They tack on a 20% service charge for this kind of food? We ordered the vegetable dumplings, and they were barely filled at all. The cauliflower Manchurian was excessively oily—just way too much! The aftertaste was terrible. The Thai egg fried rice was just basic fried rice with eggs, without any vegetables, and the portion was so small for $20 that it wouldn't even satisfy a single person. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience!
