Bidra med feedbackLove this little place, tucked down a close just off the Royal Mile. We pop in each time we're in Edinburgh. On this occasion we visited with my elderly mum and had lunch. all 3 of us couldn't resist the Haggis and cheese jacket potatoes, mum had black pudding on the side. Delicious, prepared to order, lovely service and reasonably priced.
How lucky we were to get a wee table for 4 on a very cold December morning. Coffee, scones and carrot cake hit the spot with lovely friendly service. We watched the other breakfasts coming out of the kitchen and how I wished that I had hadn’t eaten breakfast that morning. Great wee place, and it is wee but perfect formed.
While visiting Edinburgh with friends, we decided to treat them to a classic café experience. We stumbled upon this charming café on our way to the castle and were greeted warmly. We sat at a cozy table near the kitchen in the bustling atmosphere. We ordered coffee and scones, which were both fantastic - creamy coffee and fresh, delicious scones. It was the perfect treat on a chilly day. We plan to return next time for some Scotch pie and beans. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommend it.
