Bidra med feedbackThis is a charming restaurant with a cozy underground dining area or an airy upstairs cafe. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including hot meals, soups, salads, and desserts. In Scotland, the vegan haggis was a standout dish and absolutely delicious. The chickpea curry was also very tasty, although it could have used a bit more spice. The desserts, including the ginger and coconut cake, were sweet and really delivered on the flavors. The scones were nicely diced, but could have been warmed up for an even better experience. The turbulent latte was a highlight, made with a blend of almond and coconut milk.
Went here for the second time in a week to have their spanish stew with rice which was delicious again! They have a decent selection of pasties, quiches and various salads and other cold options. Good place to go if you fancy a healthy option for a change in my case! Some items seemed slightly over priced for what you get but others are good value! Overall I'd recommend this place for sure!
For the health conscious, vegetarians and vegans, Hendersons is a deli/restaurant that offers healthy eating options that would suit all dietary requirements (except if you're carnivore). You enter the main door into the cafe part of the restaurant and can then be seated in the lounge area where live music is occasionally played. Everything from ingredients used in the dishes to the drinks you're served (Fentiman's or freshly squeezed juice) are naturally sourced or organic where possible It was my first time dining at Hendersons and unfortunately, I couldn't say that I was too impressed with their menu selection. For main courses, you had a choice of 5 dishes in total. Usually when I...read more
Deli -cious! OK so if you are health conscious or maybe just wanting a quick lunch without the **** stuff in food, then Henderson's is kinda like...fast food..health stop. You go in, grab a tray, queue (cos there's normally a queue of hungry eaters at this place..never seen it quiet), quick read at the specials board, glance at the various salad mixes in bowls down the counter and then here's the hard part...deciding what to have...!!! It is a bit like school dinners...or if you enjoy the layout of John Lewis cafe then it's similar. Tray, order, pay. Find table and eat. Cutlery next to checkout. Water on the table opposite help yourself to it. There's so much variety of choice and a...read more
This restaurant experience was pretty awful. It used to be a favorite spot for me and my vegetarian companion, but it seems to have changed ownership. They have switched from full table service in the evenings to a strange system where you order your main dish at the counter, then they bring it to you, but take dessert and drink orders at the table. The food was mediocre at best. The filo pastry with spinach and feta was greasy and uninspired. The Malaysian curry lacked flavor and was bland, reminiscent of student meals. My husband’s burger had no bun, just a strange crust, and only three potato wedges on the side. The service was also lacking, with the waitress spilling water on the table before...
