Bidra med feedbackThe first few times we walked past, we thought it was part of the art gallery beside it (hence the name... Name aside, the tapas we ordered didn't disappoint, especially the prawns. Tried dessert as well and really liked it. Staff was wonderful. We asked...for mocktails and they produced excellent virgin mojitos and pina colada. Would definitely return for more of those...
We tried Chameleon on a whim as we walked past and made the right decision by coming in! The interior of the place is very cool, it's a nice twist of modern furniture and rustic, reclaimed wood with a nice candlelit vibe. We were sat...down quickly and made to feel very welcome by our waiter who walked us through the drinks menu and let us know what was in the cocktails. We went for the downtown drammin' which was a twist on the classic manhattan and the gin martini, made with Edinburgh gin, both were very well balanced. We then ordered a few dishes of tapas which were seriously amazing. Some stand-out favourites were the halloumi fries and the beef with chimichurri sauce. The quality of the food here is better than any tapas place I have seen in Edinburgh so far, definitely check this place out! We will be back!
I was more than once in chameleon and every time I like to come back. the staff is very friendly and clear knows that their job make cocktails to a show sometimes. the atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy, it is in a grunge style that makes it interesting. the menu itself is not easy, there are no typical cocktails like margarita, but all cocktails are delicious and everyone can find what suits them best. the menu is delicious, especially gloomy. my favorites used to be white chocolate mousse, but I found out that it was removed from the new menu that is quite disappointing. overall definitely recommend this place as going somewhere for a relaxed night with friends / couples
Drink and a snack. very nice place, stylish but comfortable atmosphere. very nice helpful and friendly staff. exciting cocktail menu and really good food. highly recommended!
We celebrated New Year's dinner at Chameleon and had some concerns beforehand since it was our first visit, but they were completely unnecessary. We were welcomed with delicious cocktail snacks and canapés which we all enjoyed. The small dishes we tried were surprisingly tasty and well-made. The prices were very reasonable and definitely worth the value. A similar dinner at a larger restaurant in the city would have cost at least three times as much. The ambiance is cozy, relaxed, and unpretentious. The staff is charming and friendly, making us feel welcome in a unique environment. The lounge music added a cool vibe to the atmosphere. The only improvement we would suggest is to make the seating more comfortable, as the brick walls can be cold to sit on. Their menu is not extensive, but they focus on simplicity and freshness, resulting in flavorful dishes. All dishes are meant for sharing, resembling tapas. We highly recommend visiting Chameleon and will definitely return when we are in the city.
