Bidra med feedbackDuring our stay, we decided to grab a bite to eat and stumbled upon this bustling restaurant. Despite how busy it was, we managed to find a spot at the bar to enjoy our meal. The menu offered a selection of hearty pub fare at affordable prices and generous portions. The service at both the bar and kitchen was quick and efficient. The chicken and leek pie was definitely worth the wait, and the cozy atmosphere created by the coal fire added to the overall experience. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for delicious food, great beer, and a cozy place to unwind after a long day of walking. And don't worry about your muddy boots - they're welcome here.
I recently visited a restaurant that was incredibly cozy and comforting. The food was delicious, the service was fast, and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to both travelers and locals in the area. You will not be disappointed.
The fish and chips were exceptional. We have no complaints other than we would have preferred our meal served on a plate instead of a wooden board. My husband owns a fish and chip shop and knows how fish and chips should be, but this meal was great. Well done.
Called in here on the off chance on a Tues eve. It was packed, we managed to get the last table, good atmosphere, the menu and special board were good, I had the Cumberland sausage which was delicious, good size portion and a fair price, the staff were pleasant, we would come again.
Was greeted by the friendly barman when taking my order. However, I have to say I think the food is extremely overpriced. Ordered the garlic mushrooms and a side of chips. The garlic mushrooms were the cheap frozen ones and for about £8 I just don't think it's really good enough. The chips were the most standard cheap frozen chips you can get, so for £4.75 I expected proper homemade chips, especially given the price and location, I just expected better quality. The service was fine and the views are wonderful. I think the food needs to be better quality unfortunately.
