Bidra med feedbackI’ve usually had a great service here but today was not a good experience. I ordered two cods, large chips, large battered sausage and a curry sauce. Took my order home and found the following. No battered sausage so my son was very disappointed. And one cod was awesome. Great size and crispy batter. The second cod was half the size and the batter was moist and falling off. Been trying to phone them but just getting annoying music and nothing else
This is the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The curry sauce was terrible and the chips were very soggy. I ordered cod but when I got home, there was no cod. I will never eat here again.
This was my third visit to this restaurant and I was extremely disappointed. There were cobwebs all over the windows, the staff seemed unhappy, and the fish dishes were overcooked and dried out. To make matters worse, there was a scruffy man walking around mumbling and picking his nose. This experience was disgusting and I will not be returning again. (Reviewed on 10/06/2023)
This fish and chip shop is either good or really bad, last night it was really bad I ordered two large cod one large chips and a large sausage. £20.20 The fish was heavily bartered one very dark in colour which straight away as I unwrap them that it was overcooked, when I peeled back the batter the fish was completely dried up , the sausage was good and so was the chips. I have now decided it’s so hit and miss I will not be going back. Surly the fryer could see what I saw and should not have served it. Unfortunately I did not see what was served otherwise I would have said something.
Will no longer be visiting Goodies, after being a customer for as long as it has been here. Comfortably the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Ordering went smoothly enough, and I was given an order number and estimated waiting time. After having my order number called, and order confirmed I returned home to find part of the order missing. I decided to call the shop hoping for what seemed should be a simple solution, I was instead immediately met with an incredibly rude member of staff who turned it into a confrontation with the person adamant it was me that had made a mistake and picked up the wrong order. Instead of simply accepting there may have been an error on their end, they continued to insist the blame sat solely with me because what they deemed to be the order was still there. They did offer to allow me to return the incorrect order to them in exchange for the correct one, but at the point of finding the problem I had already served my son. In the end I was so sick of being continually accused and spoken to like I was a total idiot, I wanted to stay as far away from the place as possible. We cut our loses, took the hit on the missing item and tried to enjoy the food we did have whilst sitting in disbelief trying to compute the exchange that just occurred. A simply ridiculous exchange to what was a very simple problem with an even simpler resolution. Which didn’t need to go any further than acceptance there was an error, and that the missing item will be waiting if I wanted to come and get it. Never returning here and would advise against anyone else visiting. Just in case you are ever unfortunate enough to face the wrath of these amateurs.
