Bidra med feedbackThe ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with small, nature-inspired artwork on the walls and a mirrored wall that creates a sense of spaciousness. There is also a beautiful patio area. I ordered the Montreal smoked meat sandwich on a kaiser roll and an iced chai. The chai was a good size for the price of $4, but lacked the strong chai flavor I was hoping for. The sandwich was served with salt and pepper kettle chips, which were a tasty side. The sandwich itself was decent, with a soft bun, bitter greens, and an average portion of meat that was rather bland. It didn't quite live up to the amazing smoked meat sandwiches I've had in the past. Overall, for a $10 lunch, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.
While the cafe is a nice spot, it is unfortunately plagued by stroller congestion. The small space and layout make it difficult to enjoy when multiple strollers are present. The water for the espresso runs too fast, resulting in a weak flavor. The cranberry scone was a bit dry, but not terrible. The clientele seems to be affluent, likely due to its proximity to a hospital. Seating is limited but comfortable, with indoor seating for about 20 and patio seating for 12. Overall, the cafe is heading in the right direction, but could benefit from expert help with the espresso and improved cleanliness in the men's restroom.
The restaurant serves excellent coffee, including espresso drinks. The light food options are tasty, with a great variety of treats. There is a lovely small patio with rings to tie your dog to. They are licensed to serve wine and beer, and the owners are delightful. I recommend choosing local businesses over chains, especially when they are as good as this.
Good coffee. Friendly staff. Nice place to sit and have a glass of wine or a beer. Food is tasty. Prices are low when compared to the quality. Nice selection of art on the wall, most of which is for sale at exceptionally good prices.
We discovered this place while waiting for an appointment at Michael Garron Hospital and always drop by when in the neighborhood. It is a cheerful place, simple, bare but quiet (during the day). Art work always hangs on the wall, all of it for sale. The pieces are always fun, interesting, sometimes whimsical and unusual. The coffee is fabulous, done well and prepared quickly. The selection of food is good, something for every mood and all of it fresh and delicious. Natural light from the huge front window provides the lighting for the inside tables (there are a few outside in the patio in front as well) which gives the place a relaxing, unhurried feel. Highly recommended.
