Wild Ginger - East York

This restaurant is wonderful! The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the presentation is outstanding! We've found our new favorite sushi spot!

To start, we each ordered shrimp dum yum soup, shrimp egg rolls, and shared a spicy tuna roll. Everything was delightful, but the spicy tuna roll stood out as the best we've ever tasted. The filling was perfectly balanced—neither too wet nor too dry, and just the right amount of spice. It was truly perfect. For the main course, I enjoyed the best Thai shrimp green curry I've ever had, while my husband loved his shrimp pad thai, and our daughter devoured the shrimp fried rice. For dessert, we shared some delicious green tea ice cream. The service was excellent and prompt. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. When my daughter dropped her sippy cup, a woman at the counter quickly picked it up before I could even stand up. She insisted that we not worry about the mess left by our toddler’s meal. We will definitely return here in the future as we frequently travel through York. Thank you, Wild Ginger, for such a memorable experience! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetable options available, and most dishes can be made vegetarian. Parking: The parking lot is large with plenty of spots. Kid-friendliness: I brought my energetic one-and-a-half-year-old, and they provided a highchair. They were very understanding when some of her meal ended up on the floor.

Overall, our group of four had a great experience at the restaurant. We tried various sushi dishes, mango chicken, and curry chicken. The sushi was particularly delicious! The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The service was good, and our waiter was friendly. Since it wasn't busy during the week, the atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet.

This is undoubtedly the best Asian cuisine in the area, and it might just be the best I've ever experienced. The service was excellent, and I will definitely be returning.
