Ocean Chinese Take Away

Tried this takeaway for the 1st time, who supplied superb, large, and readily identifiable King Prawns at a competitive price, unlike Dawaat. Can readily recommend their extensive wall menu (which you can photo) and their spot on service.

Disgusting. Unfortunately our local so we will be going further afield. Rude staff and massively overpriced food. I was hoping the price would make up for service and prices but the food was awful: avoid

First of all the lady who serves is incredibly rude. She got really quite nasty when I made a point that they didn’t have a takeaway menu! Her reply was a snapped “they cost too much”. So... the food, it was quite simply awful. As someone else has alluded to already, the duck was dry and inedible. The curry was salty and gloopy with lumps in it. The chicken content was very mean and the portion was 90% onion! A cheapskate trick. The fried noodles we had ordered were all burnt with shards of hard black burnt food ??? Off the wok? Not sure but it wasn’t eaten. I rang and complained to be met with a tirade of abuse from the ill tempered woman who slammed the phone down! Lastly, I reckon this Chinese takeaway is 10-20% more expensive than most. Overall it was an awful experience and I will not return.

Have tried most Chinese takeaways in hull and this is the best. It’s also the most expensive but I’d rather pay a bit more for good food than reformed chicken and bland food! Salt and pepper chicken is great and a bit spicy but Chinese food is spicy. You want bland order from a chippy instead. My go to Chinese takeaway. Just wish they delivered!
