Great big carvery and the staff were all really helpful. Desserts were lovely

The ambiance is cozy and the staff is delightful, however the food is mediocre at best. The meat was tender and the mashed potatoes were smooth, but the rest of the dishes lacked flavor. The roast potatoes were burnt and had to be exchanged. The staff was accommodating, but the replacement potatoes were not much improved.

I visited this restaurant with my Quiz Group for a Christmas lunch. There were 19 of us and we were seated in a separate area from the main restaurant, which worked well for our group. The food and service were fantastic, as usual. The 3-course meal was a great deal at £11.95 and everyone had a wonderful time.

The food at the restaurant was excellent, but unfortunately the service was lacking. The staff were friendly but more focused on chatting with each other and being on their phones than attending to us. When we approached the carvery, the server quickly plated our food and rushed back to the kitchen. We felt unwelcome as the only customers in the restaurant. It took about 25 minutes for someone to check on us after we finished our meal. We had planned to order dessert, but decided against it due to lack of time. If we were to consider returning, it would have to be during a busier time in hopes of better service. Despite the service issues, the food was reasonably priced and delicious for those with the patience to wait.

A lovely meal .... well worth a visit and value for money...... but what made our visit was the warm and friendly staff... well done....
