Feedback
Bidra med feedbackNot very customer-friendly! The building is beautiful and the food is great. The back of house staff are lovely. However, there was absolutely no flexibility when it came to ordering a sandwich without butter. The lady who took our order seemed completely uninterested in assisting us, even though we were purchasing brunch for 12 people.
We had a nightmarish experience with customer service. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy. The host instructed us to go inside, register, and place our order for dine-in. As we walked in, an older woman with glasses (who I assume is the manager or owner) yelled at us, telling us to go back outside and wait in another line. She may have been having a bad day, but her demeanor was quite unpleasant. After some back and forth, things were finally sorted out after her discussion with the host. It was disheartening to witness her reprimanding the host for a solid two minutes in front of a packed crowd—I truly felt sorry for the server. Once we received our food, it was disappointing. The portions were small for both the food and drinks, and definitely overpriced for what we received. The bread on the roast beef sandwiches was particularly tough; it hurt my teeth so much that I couldn’t finish the other half. I hope management takes this feedback to heart and works on improving their customer service. No one should have to endure what we experienced.
The food and service here are excellent. However, please be aware that you can't request a change in the bread selection for any item, as it's not permitted. The staff seem to be hesitant to make any changes for fear of upsetting the chef!
This is a hard place to rate. The coffee is very good. The pastries and snacks are fantastic (one of the best chocolate croissants I have had in ages. The service was quick and kind, if a bit disorganized and confusing during busy times. However, their sandwiches, which I have now had two, one bacon egg and cheese and one smoked salmon, are way to salty. It wouldn't be theworst if the sandwiches were not so expensive, it was just too much salt. Definitely go for the coffee and sweets though.
Beautiful location. It is pricey but worth it. They use local ingredients and take pride in their food quality. I had a bacon, egg and cheese and a fish sandwich which was amazing. The coffee had a beautiful presentation but I wouldn't recommend it. Stilldeserves 5 starts because I purchased a beer loaf and it had a unique taste but very fresh and delicious.
