World Bean - EAST ELMHURST

5 stars are for espresso and service. I don't know about the baked goods but the espresso was particularly well unexpected for an airport coffee shop. They have fruits and an associated cardboard and snack area.

I was so impressed by the pastries I picked up here before a flight. I have banana bread, a cinnamon roll and a cheddarschon. The banana bread was simply lovely; it used real bananas and the bread was moist. It was tasteful and delicious, and I really enjoyed it. The cinnamon roll was made of croissant material which I did not expect, but it was also tasteful and light. It was too sweet. The Cheddarshock was solid, but not dry, and the cheese taste was very present, although a bit salty. All this (I have two slices of banana bread and each one for the others) came out to be about $13, which is definitely expensive, but it is also airport food so it is expected.
