Bidra med feedbackOn Tuesday 18th July, I walked across the heath on a sunny afternoon looking forward to a cold cider. I am currently sitting in the pub garden as I write this review. It is now 4:25 pm and it is starting to get dark. Luckily, we both have a bottle of water to walk back with.
I have stopped visiting this restaurant, which is unfortunate because it has the potential to be a nice pub. The drinks had debris floating in them from the pipes, there was no atmosphere, and the staff were not welcoming. It is a shame.
Do not go here under any circumstances! The food was terrible and the service was even worse. The elderly woman who served us had extremely bad breath and body odor. She was rude and disrespectful, and the food was even worse than the low-quality dishes served at roadside rest stops. This restaurant is not worth a single positive review.
We give up! We have visited twice in the last month to eat. On Good Friday at 1.35 but they stop food at 1.30, even on Bank Holidays! On May 1st they opened for Breakfast from 5 to 8AM so we thought another chance was in order. We arrived at twenty to 8 but were told there was nothing left. There was actually plenty of sausages and a few other things and we would have been flexible. Just a sausage sandwich even, but no. We tried, we failed. I wonder what the food is like?
Lovely country pub, good beer, log fire, beautiful food (large portions) and very good value for money, attentive friendly staff, a new favourite for us!
