Applebee's Grill - E State Road

My husband and I travel a lot and eat. Normally, we'll stick to Mom and Pop places to help them. But no, we went to Applebee. Our plates were dirty and my chicken stripe was killed and tasted old. The service was great.

We often go to Applebee and have often visited this. The restaurant is always clean and the service is good. However, the cooking position must have a high turnover here, as the food quality is unreliable. Also with the same dish, sometimes its very good in taste and appearance, other times simply perfect.

We had a small group of 8 and the staff was efficient and professional. eating was wonderful n our waiting time was not bad at all. good food n good prices, makes me very happy n ready to go back.

In the restaurant was clean of debris and organized, we are a family of 4, we were at a stand on the side. The location is great, our waitress was very nice and welcoming. We ordered the sampler to share the boneless wings were crushed in sauce, which was not as good as I hoped Queensadillas were a little dry, chips with Spinat Dip and Mozzarella sticks were good. I ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes, it was absolutely delicious, favorite dish at Applebee's. My husband ordered the four cheeses Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken, the sauce was very bland, although the chicken was tasteful. Our children shared the chicken and the pommes, they were good. The greatest thing was that they were from broccoli and not only had 1 other vegetables than one side. Overall good restaurant for a family meal, the price was not too bad, although I would reduce a bit due to food quality, but I would come back for this Bourbon chicken and shrimp.

Anticipated a normal, negligible experience at the Applebee?s on a Sunday night, however my service expectations were totally exceeded. My waiter, Shawn was polite yet genuine, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed before I even thought to ask. My table was set up like a fine dining spread with sides of condiments, lemon wedges, extra napkins, straws, along with appropriate silverware. This man was an absolute gem. His manager, Vilmari, came promptly upon request and was happy to hear about our great experience. She wasn?t surprised about Shawn?s great reviews, but seemed braced for a minimal complaint of some sorts. I could tell she was instantly relieved when my partner and I began bragging about our waiter. Patrons gotta remember to give positive reviews at restaurants. It really makes the difference for people in the food industry who are so used to being overlooked for quality service but taken down in an instant over one upset customer. Former sever here with intense attention to detail, and I was personally floored. Thank you Applebee?s staff. Shout out to back of the house and bar, food and drink was out before I even had the chance to wait.
