Metro 8 Steakhouse - Durham

We had a belated anniversary dinner , the staff particularly Savannah , were all extraordinarily helpful , fun and nice

Metro 8 was recommended by a colleague after reviewing it on Yelp. Yelp said it was the #3 steakhouse in Durham after Angus Barn #1) and Nana Steak #2). I'm from the Chicagoland area where steakhouses are plentiful, well-known and extremely good. In my opinion, Angus Barn is hugely over rated and high priced for the quality and service. Nana Steak is difficult, at best to get into, so I've yet to try it or hear negative comments beyond that. Metro 8, in my opinion, of the Durham steakhouses I've eaten at is the BEST! Service is phenomenal. The staff is well versed with the menu and very personable. The quality of the food and drinks are worth every penny you will pay which isnt expensive). Ambiance is perfect! You can hear those at the table clearly without shouting over music or other restaurant noise. I had the Cowboy Ribeye with the loaded baked potato. I will be eating these for two more days! It was a lot of food. I also had the Provelenta appetizer. This was like having a crustless cheese pizza. So yummy! We didn't save room for dessert, but if it's anything like the app and entrees, you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for the Best Steakhouse in Durham, I highly recommend Metro 8! I doubt you will be disappointed.

First time and will definitely be back. Steaks cooked perfectly and the key lime pie was so good we got 2 extra slices to go for later!

I took my wife here for her birthday. The owner was very friendly and seated us promptly. Food (filet mignon, salmon, house salad, cheesecake, crepes) was awesome! Highly recommend for anyone seeking highly attentive service, excellent food and a nice setting.

Warm, friendly , birthday boy made to feel special. Beautiful deserts with nice Happy Birthday hand scrolled in whipped cream and special chocolate martini …perfect evening. Thank you
