Dunsandel Tavern

Never heard or known about it.. just happened to pass by at lunch time so we decided to stop instead of continuing to the next town… had the chicken salad, bacon egg catch of the day and all three were absolutely delicious!! Note that portion is on the bigger side. The staff were all lovely too

So much has changed with the new owner...we had a lovely lunch snack returning from Mt Cook to Christchurch and stopped here to refresh 700 kms later...all the best

Very nice meals ,would go again. Chicken Parmigiana was the nicest my daughter had. Pan fried blue cod on potato gratin, very delicious but could have done with 1 more piece of cod for the price we paid for that dish and deluxe burger was very tasty so my husband said.. Atmosphere was good.

I have been here a few times with a group of friends, very relaxed country bar, restaurant , generous size portions of food and delicious, staff are great some with great sense of humor..
