Harbour City Dimsum House

This restaurant is located in a pleasant location and offers a nice variety of dishes. While the food is not exceptional, it is freshly made and served hot. It is filling and comforting. The staff is cheerful and attentive, and the prices are reasonable.

Dumaguete is a popular destination for expats, offering authentic international cuisine that can sometimes surpass the local food. While Chinese cuisine is abundant in the Philippines, we were disappointed with the oysters in Dumaguete and decided to try a dimsum restaurant instead. Like any dimsum place, it's easy to end up ordering more than intended, so be careful with your selections to avoid a hefty bill. Despite this, the food was delicious and satisfied our dimsum cravings. We recommend arriving early, as the restaurant tends to get busy and may run out of popular dishes if you come too late.

The dim sum at this restaurant is affordably priced, but the quality is average. I tried the chicken feet, garlic spare ribs, fish fillet, sweet and sour pork, and siomai, but none of them stood out in terms of taste.

Harbour city, Dimsum break, Ding Qua Qua and Ding How serve the best shaomai and spring roll. Not the usual set up where you will be given menu to order, instead they show you the real product which I think is very appetizing. Elegant place to dine in but reasonable (quite pricey) price.

Coming off a 4-hour drive, the wife and I were pretty hungry by the time we reached Dumaguete to visit our 2 grandkids who study in Silliman U. We were glad that we made Harbour City our meeting point for lunch for it is not only near their school, but also serves food that we like. Disappointed by the closure of our go-to Dimsum Break in Bacolod, it was a delight to find a similar one this side of Negros Island. From the Steamed Fried Rice Bowls to the Stuffed Shrimp to the Garlic Pork to the Veggie Spring Rolls to the Fried Chicken and various Siomai, we all had a delicious meal while listening to them narrate their latest school happenings. A great place for family meals.
