Nice decor, but the acoustics were bad and so made the noise travel around the whole place. Service was at best relaxed, but polite and offered with a smile. We had a mix of food, which was very nicely presented. No rush to finish or leave. Didn't quite get the sports bar at the front.....didn't sit well with the restaurant at the rear. Would definitely go again.

The carvery was lovely with plenty to eat and the staff were very friendly. The service was excellent all round.

The only place where you can get a decent curry (my husband would like the madras a bit hotter) and good English good. Lots of curry houses, but their English food is rubbish.

Upon our arrival, a young man showed us to our table but quickly departed without inquiring if the location was to our liking. I expected him to take a moment to welcome us. I noticed that other groups who arrived after us were treated in the same indifferent way, which stood in stark contrast to the warm and friendly service we received from our waiter Craig. This situation needs to be addressed, as it’s not difficult to make guests feel welcome.
