The Coburg - Dublin Road, Ratoath

The food was good, a bit overpriced considering that you can pay similar prices for a 1 Michelin star restaurant, the service was very average since we did not get a wine list until we asked for, I asked for an item to be removed from the plate since I don’t eat it and it was then served anyway. And there was a lot of time in between courses. I was not going to write a review since I believe every restaurant can have a bad day, both a few hours later my wife started to have food poisoning symptoms and shortly after I did too. We decided to eat at The Coburg on the first night while staying at the Hotel. All team so helpful and attentive, a special shout-out to Marcin, who went above and beyond to make sure our meal was special. We opted for Caesar salad and cauliflower soup to start, followed by venison and lamb. Finished with desserts: pavlova and crème brûlée. All dishes were so tasty, great presentation. TAKE CARE when you book. Here my story short. Called the restaurant to reserve a table. Reserved by the staff in the Terrace. If your first time there, You could imagine it’s an outdoor space for summer, while it’s a different venue in the same hotel serving a different menu (burger etc. vs fine dining we were booking for. Customers should be advised in advance about the huge difference. Result? Staff was offering a free dinner to compensate (appreciated but we were not looking for a free dinner we only wanted to celebrate our last evening in Ireland in a fine dining restaurant. Completely ruined. Of course a free dinner was not enough Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Very nice place to enjoy fantastic food. Very relaxing atmosphere also like the privacy there. The tables are located in a good distance from each other. I felt comfortable and well served. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Dietary restrictions: The waiter asked do we have any food allergy.
