Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant deserves less than 1 star. I have visited a few times recently and every time I regret it immediately. They wait until you order to inform you that they don't have certain items, repeatedly. Today, I ordered a wrap and the employee working simply decided it was break time and disappeared to the back, leaving one staff member to prepare, chop, and serve all customers in line. He didn't seem to care that he had just taken our order. The staff's behavior is disgraceful and embarrassing, they should be fired.
Before COVID, this restaurant had its ups and downs. The opening hours were not always as advertised, and online orders were frequently not ready. Sometimes, when you arrived to pick up your online order and asked for it to be toasted, the staff would seem annoyed. Having visited several Chopped locations around the city, it's clear that there is a difference in quality of staff, produce, and overall customer experience between the busy and quiet stores. Like many businesses, once performance starts to decline, things can become very difficult. Staffing decisions can exacerbate the issues, leading to poor service. Currently, Chopped Lucan seems to be operating with just one staff member, at least from a customer's perspective. The service is very slow and inefficient. If they are going to operate with a single staff member, they need to ensure that person is experienced and efficient. Unfortunately, the current single staff member seems to be a young lad who appears to be around 18 years old and struggles to keep up with the demand. I recently left the restaurant with only 1 person ahead of me in the queue, and it's not uncommon for customers to walk out. The overall appearance of the restaurant is uninviting, and it appears to be struggling. It wouldn't be surprising if this particular Chopped location ends up closing soon.
I arrived at 5:15 PM to order two wraps and a latte, only to find that some ingredients were missing and the coffee machine was turned off, despite the restaurant closing at seven. When I asked the staff member about it, he shrugged it off and explained that no one had ordered coffee in two hours, so the machine was turned off. I had to buy coffee from Maxol instead. This was a very disappointing experience, especially since I usually enjoy the food at this restaurant.
Went today (08/10) for lunch, very disappointed with the service and the food. I have been eating chopped since it opened it's doors in Fairview. The issues today in Lucan 1. Not enough staff to tend to the customers needs, they asked the employee working in Kanoodle to help on the checkout, but he could not find the items on the screen to charge us. 2. Al lot of ingrediants were missing from display, no brown rice, no cashews, no sweet potato, no grated carrott, and I wanted a atomic crunch. Plus she put apple in and when I said there should not be apple in this salad, I just got a look. 3. With Chopped you can order on line for collection, and it was clear today that they were under pressure with too many orders, as when I ordered my salad bowl and requested spinach and Igot mixed house instead. Will I eat chopped again, Yes as I like the food and it is healthy, but I will not be returning to the one in Lucan.
Great salads but it’s says open till 8pm?, I’ve gone up a few times during the week about 6:50pm and everything’s covered at and the staff were telling me it was closed. Also I wouldn’t recommend ordering off the app and collecting as I ordered a few salads to collect and they forgot some stuff in my salad and still charged me for it.
