Afternoon Tea At The Fitzwilliam

Solid atmosphere not present, room with lower deck not very nice, cozy or welcoming.

Eating was excellent, but the Christmas atmosphere was not existent. the manager was very nice and said it was a new concept and they would work hard to improve it. he gave me 50% of the bill, so top brands for customer service. I hope they get the atmosphere right as it has great potential.

We had expected to sit in the bright airy foyer of the hotel with my 11 year old as tasty. she had been asking for a long time to have “night tea in a posh hotel”. we sat in the dark hotel bar after we had requested the foyer. the skorn were not fresh and unfortunately was also the Victoria-Swede, on which my daughter was looking forward. I got the impression that the personal felt our uneasy in the bar and was incredibly sweet and her best did. my daughter scored it a 3 out of 10, but the spending €90 brought it to a 2 for me.

I cannot recommend the fitzwilliam hotel enough! my own and my friend went to my birthday here and have never experienced the customer service as I did this day. all employees were super nice and all helpful and all the little touches made it even better (I got a birthday card from the hotel! firm afternoon was also fabulous! a great thank you from me and jess, can wait to go again! roxy

The order of how it goes or what's included is not very clear. We got. Glass of prosecco and weren't sure if there was any more or that was it. Our tea came before we finished our prosecco. Mine was very weak. Savoury bites were quite nice but small, there was far more desserts and they were much more hit and miss. My partner was having her birthday, so we're presented with a slice of a basic chocolate cake at the end after desserts and scones (which tbf were fantastic). It was fine but not worth over 100e for two.
