Bidra med feedbackFound by accident while on our way to Bayeux. Well priced menu du jour with good selection of all 3 courses. The food was home cooked and well prepared. Service be the patron was friendly and efficient. Well worth the stop and we may well decide to stay on a future occasion and try the evening menus.
We were in Dozulé while researching family war history (Grandfather named on Dozule memorial) and called into the hotel for lunch. The welcome was friendly and inviting, we were shown to a table and the menus brought. Now I have basic schoolboy French but my father has not. We need not have worried as the staff came straight over and explained everything to my father in perfect English. Just proves that Europe is better at mixing than England. Anyway, The food was sublime, cooked to perfection and the sauces were exceptional. French cuisine at its best. The service was fast and efficient and the options were vast. The preparation was done in the time it took us to admire the surroundings. I would make a detour from my route if I was passing the area again just to sample other things from the menu to see it they lived up to the ones we had. I have no doubt that they will be. Hotellerie Normande is the only place in Dozulé.
We found this place when we were forced to leave the A13 to find a filling station [there are very few on this stretch of the road]. We decided to eat and Hotellerie Normandy was perfect for our needs. It has a small menu of purely French food which was well cooked and served fairly quickly. The proprietor was friendly and helpful and the prices reasonable. It wouldn't be a suitable place for vegetarians or those with complex dietary requirements though due to the limited menu.
Les plats du menus sont copieux et très bons. L'ambiance est calme et exotique. Nous avons fêté les 7* ans...More
