Bidra med feedbackGreat food and service was quick and food was fresh. The issue I had was the rice in my bowl was hard like it was the last of and they scraped it out from the bottom. Not very good, I kindly returned it and they fixed it and it was perfect. I jdid not get any apologies from the management or staff about the hard rice it felt as if the hard rice was my fault. Overall I would come back.
My wife and I really love this place! Everything we've tried is really tasty. The staff is very friendly and willing to explain Venezuelan food to those who are unifamiliar. This restaurant presents Venezuelan food in a contemporary way.
First, the staff was absolutely amazing. The woman who took our order was truly helpful in making decision. The manager was great at making us feel welcome. Second, the food was phenomenal. I ordered the mechado mix with pork. It was delicious from start to finish. Impossible to eat without a knife and fork but worth every bite and calorie.
I love the concept of the restaurant – it’s set up similarly to Chipotle, where you can see all the fresh ingredients and quickly get your food after placing your order at the register. I thought that was a really neat approach. But let’s get to the most important part: the food! I ordered an arepa (I just wish I could remember its name) that came with beans, shredded meat (which they generously swapped for extra avocado), sweet plantains, cheese, nata (similar to sour cream), and maybe a couple of other toppings I can’t recall. My first bite left me utterly speechless; I found myself wanting more. I must have looked like a complete weirdo, gazing at my arepa with heart eyes as I devoured it. It was just that delicious! I also tried a cachapa, and it left me in awe. SO AMAZING! All their arepa options are to die for. If you’re hesitant about having arepas outside your home because you think your mom’s are the best, you need to visit this place – their arepas are even better than what your grandma would make! And if your grandma and mom never made these for you, don’t worry; let Amaize amaze you with their incredible arepas and so much more! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!
I tried the shredded beef arepas, and it was quite different, made from corn. My only concern is about the GMO content and pesticides, as I didn't inquire if the corn was organic. There are options like blue, purple, and yellow corn, and I plan to ask if they offer the corn that's better for blood sugar levels. On the positive side, the beans were tasty, and they serve unsweetened tea. Overall, it was a good experience.
