Bidra med feedbackI've always enjoyed my visits to this restaurant, even before it moved from Southgate to its current location. The food is straightforward and delicious, the service is exemplorary and the prices aren't too bad.
My daughter and I ate twice at this venue while visiting. The prices are very reasonable by Melbourne standards and its right on the river front so an easy stroll from the CBD and most of the central hotels. The food was great which is why we came back and we loved the ambiance which is similar to a little cafe you would find in Paris. We loved to people watch from here and as the weather was nice we sat outside in a lovely space surrounded by planter boxes and greenery. I would highly recommend this gem in Melbourne.
Thanks for a great meal as always. My girlfriend and I were there again last night and both ordered from the special board. The Fettucini with Meatballs was perfectly cooked and very tasty and the Butter Chicken with Basmati rice was to die for!Service was professional and polite as always and the ambiance was great!
Tried Bistro Vite for the first time today. The restaurant was empty the whole time we were there. My partner ordered Eye fillet - rare. Came back medium-well done and when she complained to the waiter nothing was done - the steak wasn't replaced, there was no offer of free dessert/coffee, no discount, nothing. Just an apology from the waiter after he'd informed the kitchen! Terrible. We're local and there are some nice places around here - such as Loading Dock and Meat Market. So, we won't be going back to Bistro Vite… ever. Shame.
BV was great at Southgate and glad I found it at Docklands. The same excellent service, food and prices. Great spot and set up. Great local community feel and great jazz band playing on a Sunday afternoon. Sat out the front in the sun. Had mussels in garlic cream sauce with fries. Had the same dish in Paris a while back and it was the same or even better. I'll def be back soon !
