Maria's Pizza - Dixon

The best pizza and meatballs we have encountered in a long while nice family run business.

Tried calling and keep getting message on the hours. Tried for several.times. So disappointed. Missed out on a sale.

Hours say they close at 11 on Saturdays but they have been closing early. No signs on doors, no changes to answering machine telling the hours. 2nd Saturday in a row i tried to get food at around 10pm and nobody would answer the phone so we walked up and the establishment was closed. The least they could do is let the customers know of the change in hours via posted signs and answering machine...

We ordered the appetizer Garlic Nuggets and very disappointed. Not one taste of garlic! It was like eating pieces of plain pizza dough. Will not be getting those again! Also the chicken strips could have been cooked a little longer. Coating on strips was not real crispy, but soggy. First time we have had a bad meal there!

We usually do carry-out here, so experiences are based on that. Really good pizza at a fair price. In a town with many great pizza places, Maria's is one of the best, in my opinion.
