Bidra med feedbackI stopped in and got their seafood chowder and signature burger. Both were very good!!
If you're visiting Dildo NL you won't be able to resist stopping at the Dildo Brewing Co. Museum. Brightly painted in yellow and overlooking the blue waters of Dildo Arm you'll never miss this awesome brew pub. A great spot to stop and take pics, gift shop and taste test selection of specialty brews- all while taking in the picturesque scenery that Dildo has to offer. They have a large outdoor patio overlooking the water- or if you prefer indoor seating you can sit inside and admire the view through the large garage doors separating the indoor/outdoor spaces. To my surprise they even feature a real deal pizza oven! I snagged myself some merch on the way out- a Dildo Brewing Co. Museum t-shirt to remember the day by. Another great place I would recommend anyone planning a trip to Newfoundland Labrador to visit.
This was my first time to Newfoundland, on a business trip. Dildo brewery was recommended by locals, so had to check out the location for no other reason than the name (obviously). The POSITIVES: location was premier on the water front staff were nice and inviting the food was cooked/ prepared well (see image) the beer was cold, flavorful, and had great color merchandize area museum (didn 't have time to visit) our server, Emma R. The NEGATIVE: (reason for 4 out of 5 stars) ~The amount of time it took to receive our food. It was myself and a coworker (see receipt for items ordered and time of order). We ordered the standard meals and a couple beers. It took 45minutes to get, what I would call a basic order. We were hoping to have a fair amount of time to check out the area but unfortunately due to how long it took to get our meals , we had to rush back to St. John 's airport. Maybe our expectation was unreasonable or naive to the culture of the time management in Dildo. Definitely operates more like Island Time than a typical pub/ bar grill. I would definitely recommend Dildo Brewery for their beer, food, and hospitality. However, make sure you have an open time frame , no obligations that may effect your experience at DB G.
If you're interested in a long wait, ambivalent service, and subpar food, then this is the spot for you. If you're thinking about a day trip from St. John's for this, you'd be much better served checking out one of the many better brewpub options in town. Gave it two stars because the server did comp our beers after leaving us unattended for 40 minutes.
This is a bright and lively brew pub. The food is better than average and includes fresh ingredients (something that we noticed was missing at other pubs in NL? . We did have to wait a while to get a seat this place is exceptionally busy on weekend afternoons. We were able to get a seat at the bar but had to ask a few times about this even though the bar was empty. So, not the best front of house experience. There were several options with respect to beer including some interesting options like one with blueberry, and also a house made seltzer style drink (they also make vodka . I personally enjoyed the pale ale, which was more of a 'west coast ' style (ie. hoppy . The pub is bright with lots of windows showcasing views of the harbour. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and our beer and food arrived at a reasonable pace. Lots of merch to be purchased here including their famous t shirts. The little gift shop and off sales area at the front is BUSY!! Don 't go here if you are short on time you will be frustrated by the wait times. If you are having a relaxed afternoon, then this is your place!
