Bidra med feedbackThe prices are quite steep, and they automatically add an 18% gratuity without informing you, so you'll end up tipping on top of that. It's quite frustrating. While the interior is appealing, management should realize that sometimes technology complicates things unnecessarily. When we go to a restaurant, we’re looking for a welcoming experience with friendly service—not just a way to order food via an app from the comfort of home. It felt odd to sit at the bar without any bartender interaction, just receiving a QR code from an indifferent staff member who then walks away. This is especially disheartening given the high prices and the surprise gratuity system.
Caution to potential diners. You have to place your order through an app, which automatically includes an 18% gratuity. However, they only disclose this after you've already selected your tip amount, meaning your tip is added on top of the 18% charged for large parties. There were just two of us. We had a White Claw, a 30A beer, and an order of fried green tomatoes (four slices), and our bill came to $35. The tomatoes were decent, but overall, this place is not worth that kind of money.
I really want to like this place since it's so close to our beach house, but I just can't. I don't see karaoke as live music. Unfortunately, the staff was quite rude and lacked knowledge. When I asked when there would be live music, their response was simply to check the website. How inconsiderate! I definitely won't be returning.
I prefer to look at a physical menu rather than using my phone to browse the options. While I don’t mind ordering and paying through an app, I found the experience lacking when I went alone. Unlike a typical restaurant bar, the bartender didn’t engage with me at all, which made me feel isolated. The prices are still quite high, but that’s not really the issue for me. I appreciate the personal touch of interacting with a server or bartender when I'm at the bar, and in this case, I felt completely overlooked. If I had questions, I would have to refer to my phone for answers. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon—there was a distinct lack of local atmosphere and overall energy.
Also, when ordering drinks at the bar, be aware that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the total—something you won't know unless you check your bill. It’s shocking to see that a bottle of Bud Light and a vodka tonic amount to $26. Additionally, some friends who bought their tickets at the door found an extra 16% added to their ticket price. Overall, buyer beware!
