Proof - Des Moines

So incredibly good! all curbside menu right now, and they have not one their mama’s tatertots fried in dee fat and home made ketchup, which makes me seriously think that brand bottle in the refrigerator should be thrown away forever!

Local restaurant, owned and operated by a local family. Great atmosphere and very friendly customer service. The menu in delicious with locally produced items. Highly recommended, even if your from out of town, you should make the drive! Thank you!

If you go to no other restaurant while in Des Moines, go to Proof. Their creative chef, excellent service and beautiful, mostly locally sourced food make this as much a work of food art as a place to enjoy a great meal. My server, was friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience more enjoyable. I was passing through town when a friend identified Proof. I wasn't disappointed. The amazing stone fruit salad is a wonderful starter. The beef shoulder tender was beyond amazing, and the poached pears with fresh bay leaf ice cream on a bed of granola was a great finale to a unique and beautiful dining experience.

Finally got back to Proof after the reopening. Same friendly bar service. Same amazing cocktails well technically they are constantly changing the cocktail list but they're still amazing and if you ask they'll make any of your old favorites providing they have the ingredients. They now have a much expanded beer list. Same excellent cheese and charcuterie board, probably a little bigger portions of each than before. Still not a cheap place to go for a few drinks or dinner, but I'm happy to ignore the prices when I come here.

Each time I have been the food was amazing and the cocktails equally as delicious. We recently went for happy hour and the drink the bartender made was inventive and tasty. It’s worth the money for this quality of food and service.
