Bidra med feedbackThe many 5 Star reviews are well deserved. I'm visiting from Australia and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here. Great atmosphere, professional polite, and good humoured staff with cracking food and treats. Highly recommended!
What a lovely place, in the centre of Tideswell. There's plenty of seating, with a few tables outside, by the entrance. The staff are very welcoming, and the service was very prompt, we thought we would have had to wait a while because the cafe was full always a good sign , but we didn't. The menu is very good ,ideal for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The quality and quantity couldn't fault, very good value. We set the day up by having the Tidewell breakfast before going for a day's walk, thoroughly enjoyed it . The cakes looked very inviting, with a good choice maybe next time.
I visited Tideswell Lounge while out on a bike ride in the Peak District yesterday (02.08.2024). A lovely small village Bistro type place with a warm atmosphere inside and an excellent shaded seating area outside. Or if you're not fussy and want to take in the vibes of the village like me you can just sit on the wall. The selection of meals available was spot on. Personally I was in dire need of a piece of cake. I chose the Coffee Walnut, it was delicious. The place is pristine, quirky but trendy and modern set in an exceptionally beautiful old stone built town. The staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful. It's a family owned business with all hands on board. I was lucky enough to meet and talk to Andy the owner and his son. This wasn't a planned visit I was looking for somewhere to top up my water bottles and have a minute. I'm very glad I found the lounge. I can highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Especially cyclists for their coffee and cake top up! There's plenty of room outside to keep an eye on your pride and joy. 5 stars from me and I will definitely be going back.
This is one of the best cafes I have ever been to. The food and service were great, and the general atmosphere laid back without being slack.
What a lovely place for a stop off for tea and the obligatory slice of cake. Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere set against the picturesque village backdrop. Will stop for longer next time and indulge in more of the menu.
