Bidra med feedbackCame here when it was my bank. it has changed since. they had an extension and the decorators. also an open kitchen and a very large terrace area from the back. I can't give it five stars, it's a wetherspoons. but worth a visit.
I was very impressed with the indoor architecture. The inside is similar to The Old Joint Stock in Birmingham. Good service on my visit yesterday (24/10/21). I had fish, chips and peas for 3.99. For a drink I had a Queen of hearts which is one of the ales on during the Wetherspoons Real Ale Festival. Located close to the cathedral and next door to Lloyds Wetherspoons
Standard wetherspoons like all the others. A great place for cheap drinks and food. A renovation was made iver the summer although since going back I cant see anything different about it.
Nice surroundings but food not up to much. We ordered a pizza and all day brunch. The pizza was raw in the middle and all day brunch was a bit pathetic on bean and chips. Usual sticky tables and dirty floors expected for the price
Yet again the failure of wetherspoons to deliver a hot plate of food. The peas were stone cold and a third of my 8oz sirloin was gristle. I am getting sick and tired of returning food when I just want to go and eat. Wetherspoons seem to rely on their customers to police the quality control so a word of advice to the eating public, send your food back until they start supplying what's on the menu. And hot!
