Bidra med feedbackThis airport bakery restaurant has straightforward offerings with nothing innovative that wows you. With that said, the straightforward tuna salad sandwich, all things considered, is definitely above average and delicious enough for an airport. The price is ridiculous, and I am frankly tired of people excepting that airport pricing is high. Why does the traveler and the restaurant owner alike have to be punished to pay overpriced rent, commissions, insurance, delivery costs, and taxes potentially levied by Airport landlords and government entities? Airports should be thankful to have good tenants who bring in steady business.Instead, restaurant owners and subsequently the traveler gets punished and pays the price. This reminds me of cities, for example, like Chicago and Boston, New York, San Francisco, and any other large city or municipality that covets and welcomes tourism, but then turns around and punishes every single Visitor with ridiculous taxes for staying at hotels and renting cars.Woody Creek bakery is usually one of the last places that we have chosen to go to when we are at the Denver airport as a result of a flight that landed us in Concourse C. There are far better restaurant choices in Concourse A and B.Again, I am thankful that we were able to get something to eat at Woody Creek bakery, but it is completely no-frills and uneventful.I will say that the employees who work there are super quick and efficient. If you need to get something to eat quick, go to Woody Creek bakery.Oh my gosh, I think it was smash burger or something like that next-door. They had a line “a mile long and they were so so slow.” I was in line and it was not moving for 20 minutes and I had a flight to catch.
Ordered a BLT and iced tea which was $17, about to board my plane and realized the bread has mold on it. When I go to get a refund they only refund my sandwich, plus I had to rush and get lunch somewhere else. Guess it saved me getting sick from the bread though
The first time I ordered at Woody Creek Bakery around 2008 the cookies were delicious with the best chocolate chip walnut cookie ever!!! a couple of years later the bakery had new owners and it’s been going downhill ever since, I bought 6 chocolate chip cookies and the first one I bite was so hard it must have been in that bin for two or three days, I might not go back but if I do I’ll try one cookie first before I buy more, and they don’t make the chocolate chip with walnuts anymore.
Fairly decent food and the like, but as with all airport food, the value proposition (cost per unit of good food is pretty low overpriced, in other words. Only go here in desperation. But, again, if you do go, it is decent.
We had the most delicious, with very fresh ingredients, chicken salad sandwich. The bread was the best too. Cookie was tasty, but too soft as I like a crunchy cookie, but hey, if that was only negative……..
